Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ifigo app (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
You may sign in using Firebase Authentication. We rely on the email address, display name, profile photo (if available), and unique identifier provided by Firebase to manage your account.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features require a paid subscription processed through RevenueCat. Purchases are subject to the store's terms (Apple App Store or Google Play).
If a subscription payment fails or is canceled, access to paid features may stop at the end of the billing period.
Automatic send-outs require an active subscription. If your subscription lapses, automatic send-outs will be paused until you renew.
3. Your Content
You can create journals, vault items, attachments, and security questions and answers for recipients. Content is encrypted and stored locally on your device.
If you choose to send out content or enable backups, you authorize the App to process and transmit encrypted data (encrypted on-device with your keychain/keystore key) to your selected recipients, Google Drive (Android), or iCloud Drive (iOS).
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to send out any content you upload and for keeping your device secure.
If you enable the app PIN, we store a hashed version of your PIN and related lockout metadata on-device to protect access to your vault.
4. Legacy Send-Outs and Backups
You control the inactivity threshold that triggers legacy send-outs. When triggered, the App builds password-protected PDF packages and uses Firebase Cloud Functions to email them to your selected recipients.
If backup is enabled, encrypted copies of your journals, vault items, recipients, and attachments are uploaded to your chosen cloud drive. The encryption key remains on your device.
You are responsible for managing and deleting any backup files stored in your cloud drive.
5. Permissions and Device Access
The App may request permissions such as camera, notifications, and cloud storage. You can change permissions in your device settings. Disabling permissions may limit functionality (e.g., daily check-ins, photo capture, or backups).
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
Use the App for unlawful purposes or to transmit malicious code.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App.
Infringe on others' intellectual property or privacy rights.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and its content (excluding your own content) are owned by Ifigo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ifigo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or unauthorized access. Your use of the App and reliance on backups or send-outs are at your own risk.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App at any time. Deleting your account removes your local data and stops future backups or send-outs.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
